Born in the arcades in 1994, the TEKKEN series has gone on to sell over 54 million copies worldwide on consoles. It has since expanded as an IP, branching out into anime, live-action movies, novels, manga, and various merchandise. The TEKKEN series holds two Guinness World records for “longest-running videogame storyline”, and “longest-running 3D fighting videogame franchise.”
The TEKKEN video game series is a unique 3D fighting game with an intuitive control scheme in which players control their chosen character with four buttons, each controlling a different limb. The TEKKEN series follows the story of the King of Iron Fist Tournament, in which iconic fighters from around the world battle each other using fighting styles based on well-known martial arts in 3D environments.
